ABOUT wAtelier

wAtelier, a bilingual architectural and interior design firm founded in 2016, services clients worldwide on commercial, residential, and hospitality projects.

As an energetic international team, we offer solutions that address owner identity, practicality, and engagement of the space with its natural, urban, and social contexts. We give full attention to detail from code requirements to construction documentation and supervision.

wAtelier was founded by Mieko Watanabe (M.Arch, Yale University). Previously, she worked at several boutique architecture firms in Tokyo. She has taught at Kanazawa Institute of Technology, IES Abroad Tokyo and Temple University, and has served on various design juries, including Frame Awards 2022, University of Tennessee, and The City College of New York.
